Robert Federle General Anyone know where its at now, if it still exists? 9/25/2009 12:02:29 PM
Shaun Allen General It's on the CSXT Bates' Branch off the E&BV subdivision just about destroyed with window knocked out and has never been used by the mine, just sits. 1/30/2011 7:00:31 PM
Norm Preston General That little sliver of green hopper in the background is a Southeast Coal Co. 70 ton hopper. I don't remember who Southeast bought them from, maybe Pennsylvania RR. I'd have to ask my father. It's also interesting that the inside of the Alco is the same shade of green, it makes me wonder if it's a Southeast unit that was sold to Whitaker. Southeast had several Alcos at their mines to pull hoppers under the tipple. 6/1/2023 4:02:41 PM
